FRIENDSHIP: WHY FRIENDSHIPS THRIVE { DAY 11 }

READ: John 10:10; Matthew 16:22-23; Matthew 18:21-22; Luke 22:31-34; Mark 14:36; John 21:17 "I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." { John 10:10 } Have you ever wondered why some friendships thrive and others dive? We all want the kind of friendships that make life more fun, yet sometimes we can find them sucking the life right out of us. As a mom of girls, I want my daughters to surround themselves with the kind of friends that will challenge them, love them, speak life into them and see value in them. I pray over them every day that they would be godly friends to others and they would have godly friends. I'm not praying them into a bubble of "Christians only" because that is not the goal, but when it comes to uniting with those on the same mission as we are, us Jesus girls need each other. I pray the same prayers for myself with a keen awareness that thriving friendships don't just happen overnight. They take time to develop and they are built around intentionality.

FRIENDSHIP: THE TRUTH ABOUT FRIENDS. { DAY 3 }

People are messy. We are complicated, full of flaws and capable of inflicting some of the heaviest pains and deepest wounds. We carry baggage, scars and the preconceived notions of what friendships should and shouldn’t look like based on our own life experiences. Sometimes we love each other and sometimes we love to hate each other. The irony of it all: we need each other desperately.

ESTHER: FROM WAITING TO WINNING { DAY 11 }

Welcome to the day the tables turn! Hang on to your bootstraps because things are about to get juicy. We've got a plot twist if I've ever seen one. In fact, it's a series of them. Not only do the Jews say goodbye to persecution, the Bible explains it as them "getting the upper hand." It's a good day for God's people!

ESTHER: UNFINISHED BUSINESS { DAY 8 }

How I relate to the words ‘could not sleep.’ I’ve had to learn the hard way that my body can no longer take late night caffeine, sugar or any kind of evening snacking that will trigger heartburn. Otherwise, my night of rest and renewal turns into a restless night of regret and remorse. Please tell me you understand my pain.
